Insurance
The Long Island Insurance company, capital 200,000 dollars, with a surplus
Office 41 Fulton street, Brooklyn.
Continues to take risks on Buildings, Merchandise, Machinery and property
generally at current rates of premium. This company has passed through the
great New York Fires of 1835 and 1845 and also the recent disastrous
Brooklyn Fire. They owe their excape from them, with comparatively
slight losses, to the system whcih they always practise, of limitinmg
and scattering their risks.
The Company inform their dealers and the public generally, tht less
than one third of their business is on risks in the city of Brooklyn.
All losses which the company may sustain, will be adjusted and paid
promptly as hertofore.
