1865 STATE Census..MARRIAGE
14th thru the 19th Wards. Wards 18 & 19 are NOT complete. At the end of every election district (which is how the wards were divided), there was a special schedule. Some census takers were very thorough & asked every question, some asked only a few & others ignored this section altogether. "Marriages that occured during the year ending June 1, 1875". Any marriages from June thru December occurred in 1874. This page had numerous questions: Name of Groom - age - previous civil condition (ex. single or widow) Name of Bride - age - previous civil condition Date of Marriage City/Town it took place By clergy/ civil/ declaration Census taken July 1865
